I was playing around with numpy.dtype and was not able to reproduce a clear explanation on how the type conversion works in np.dtype.

Hope you like it.The cathode ray tube (CRT) has enjoyed almost universal use in television and computer display applications. The principal shortcomings of the CRT include its large volume, fragility and relatively high power consumption. Presently, flat panel displays, such as liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and plasma displays, are being developed to replace the CRT. Flat panel displays are significantly thinner than conventional CRTs, consuming less power and generating less heat, yet producing images that are comparable to that of the CRT. The thin film transistor (TFT) is the principle switch used in most flat panel displays to modulate the intensity of the display, producing full color and color graphics.
A typical TFT used in flat panel displays is composed of a pair of spaced-apart source and drain electrodes. A polycrystalline silicon film is deposited over the source and drain electrodes, the central portion of which film is doped with p-type impurities. An anneal of the p- and n-type doped portions of the polycrystalline silicon film creates source and drain electrodes having a “finger structure”.
The TFT includes a gate electrode deposited over the central portion of the polycrystalline silicon film. The gate electrode overlaps the source and drain electrodes to form a channel region. The gate electrode is capacitively coupled to the polycrystalline silicon film. Modulation of the voltage applied to the gate electrode controls the current in the channel region, thus modulating the light emitted by the display.

History
Nguyễn Ánh (1820–1883), the second emperor of the Nguyễn Dynasty, abolished Chinese law and greatly reduced the legal penalties in Vietnam to prevent the Chinese from dominating them. He also tried to avoid the conflict between Chinese civilization and Vietnamese culture.
Ánh further reduced the legal system in his tribute report to China, which restrained the Chinese from using zêngpháp. On top of this, he also sent officials to the ancient Vietnamese law-of-the-three-orders to help them to create a proper legal system.
Ánh helped to set the foundation of the Vietnamese legal system and criminal justice system. Mạch Thanh Quân (1819–1860), the president of the Parliament, in 1860 passed the Law of the National Community Education (Quyền lực Tổ quốc dồn dập dân gia). This laid the foundation for the Vietnamese legal system.
Phong Duc Thang’s Law of the Interim Period (1864) and the law of August 31 (1873) regulated punishments in most cases. However, the law of August 31 determined the punishments in fewer cases than Phong Duc Thang’s. After this, the law of 1884 created new laws. It ordered the punishment for violating the laws of the land.
The law of 1884 instituted the Law of Refusal to Execute Deed (Quyền cục ký Lỗ chỉ tài chính). For example, it applies to overstepping the landowner’s land or animals. Moreover, it punishes those who kidnap people.
