It’s been ten years since the blood has been spilled in the war between the two tribes in the desert of Wyoming. Now, young Blood Knot (married with his wife and children) and his tribe have been left with the task to protect the Blood Knot, while being hunted in a race to the border with the United States. Follow their attempts to survive in a desolate wasteland, as they try to answer the questions they won’t be able to go back.

Blood Knot is a 2D Side-View RPG where estranged father and daughter must work together in order to survive in the wilderness of 19th century Brazil, while they search for a treasure they hope will change their lives.

Fernand, a seasoned drover who finds out his days are counted in the same time he picks up a trail of a treasure dating back to the trailblazers. He then starts a race against time with, at first, unwelcome help of his daugther, from whom he has been separated for over ten years. Now sick and dying he has to travel across the brazilian wilderness in pursuit of the treasure while being hunted down by his old troop for they believe having been betrayed by their former leader.

I’m running a side scrolling RPG on mobile devices. The main idea is to go through the game using a range of gestures (swipe to move, tap for a short attack, long tap for full auto fire, hold to reload, three fingers to zoom).

The game is a tiny masterpiece of interaction between game mechanics and art.

All credit goes to the developers of the game, but, more importantly, to the illustrator who drew the pictures for the game. The game is so simply and beautiful that you’ll find yourself spending hours drawing in the pictures.

The game really makes you wonder why touch screens weren’t used much more in games. You can’t get your hands on this game right now if you don’t want to buy this app. Let’s hope you really like it so that you can tell your friends about it.

How to make a really great VR video game. It’s essential to understand a few basics as a beginner game developer.First you’ll need to understand the difference between O.R.G.A and W.R.A.G.A (Oculus Runtime Graphics API and Web Realtime API). A framework that implements these standards is called ‘Holo Andro SDK’. The advantage of this framework is that it is easy to combine the canvas which the Web Realtime API implements and the Oculus Runtime Graphics API enables the game developer to draw on to the screen with Direct2D.
From a game developer’s perspective, the Web Realtime API allows for the scalable and modular development of WebVR experiences. If you’re using Unity, then Unity’s Web Plugin allows you to easily implement the Web Realtime API. Finally the OculusRuntime Graphics API, allows Unity to render into the HMD buffer to provide a Direct2D / GLSL interface with increased efficiency.
Finally the way the headset is rendered in Unity’s official asset is both good and bad. Unity has this nice feature where the graphic card in the HTC Vive can output displays to both the HMD buffer and the Monitor which allows Unity to double render output to the HMD buffer and the Monitor to provide a better framerate.     UPDATE (August 2019): Hey everyone, heard of something called Covid-19? Although it may not have any direct impact on a robot, we should all be aware of the differences in treatment between humans and robots—especially since we are going to be all living in the same building! Don’t worry—it’s a mini-update for 2020, because I ran out of clever new things to say.

    So where was I?

    The “Battle Of The Robots” originally started as my eleventh annual Robot Vs. Kano competition, which was a joint contest by Kano, Mi+, the Robot Master League, and myself. The aim was to see who the best robotics-focused videographer was among the four of us.

    The competition was originally called “The Robot Vs. Kano Contest”, since I needed a way to distinguish the competition from the Robot Vs. Kano Playdate. The original idea was to have it award some sort of prize to the entrants whose videos best matched Kano’s own blog, which had received a number of appearances from Kano fans. At the time I was expecting that the videos would be covering topic around the Internet of Things, or at least the 2016 presidential campaign.

    The plan changed a bit in the first few years of doing these competitions, and changed enough that most of the videos weren’t even showing when I updated this page. The only reason anyone knows it still exists is because the judges are still holding on to the pre-2017 realspace review footage!

    In short, by 2017 the personal narrative had begun to develop, and you could watch the videos themselves for all the backstory.
