Creating a Masks
You can create a _mask_ that enables you to temporarily hide a portion of an image or the entire image. You can selectively hide parts of an image to leave the background visible while making minor changes to an image. You can also mask areas of an image to hide elements of the image from view, such as the camera flash in a photo.
The following list is not exclusive and has been compiled from both the official website as well as the many users on Reddit. I have tried my best to be as unbiased as possible.

Do we really need to install Photoshop if we’re only using it for simple photo editing?
Well, not necessarily. Not everyone needs Photoshop or the other Adobe desktop programs. In the last 10 years, a lot of libraries have been made to edit images using only one of them.
By using such apps as Instagram and Facebook, photo editing is now more simple than it used to be. Photographers can now handle any kind of Photoshop related tasks using apps like Pixlr, Photoshop Express, and VSCO.
If you’re new to the Photoshop family, it’s best to start with a program that is simple and easy to use. Once you get used to it, you can slowly move on to the more sophisticated programs.
If you’re using a computer running Windows, a Wacom tablet is essential if you are starting out. It not only makes manipulating the photo even faster and easier but you get a better hand-eye coordination, as the camera app gives you direct access to your monitor.
If you’re on a Mac, then you can skip the Wacom.
How we got this list
So far, I have personally tested 68 photo-editing apps. I’ve reviewed about 30 of them and tested the others in a similar fashion. I’ve also used every app in the list below at least once.
The desktop photo-editing software I use is Photoshop CC but I’ve played with all the apps to some degree. I feel that Photoshop CC is not my favorite app and I’ve used it for a long time but I haven’t found anything I can’t live with.
With Photoshop on the desktop, I can do practically any kind of photo editing I can dream of but on mobile phones, you’re pretty much stuck with Instagram and Facebook.
If I’m on a phone but have some money left over, I’ll grab Lightroom Mobile. There are thousands of free photos I can edit on my phone but I’d still need Photoshop on the desktop if I want to touch up my images.
