The chime effect that the widget includes does provide the clock with some additional versatility, making it possible to alert users when they are away from their workstation. In the end though, Atomic Age Clock is just a clock and it is up to users to decide if they feel it is necessary.

It looks a bit like something to be found on the 50’s. I would say it is cute, very effective and solves the problem it was intended to solve.
I would have said that it is just a change of a background and should be added to the system tray, but it was not.

This clock is a Free clock widget available in all the compatible Linux systems.

The main widget window also provides options to change the color, font, display mode and opacity.
