KLog is a free, open source Win32 implementation of *nix syslog daemon to support remote logging of message from syslog-enabled unix servers, routers and other networked devices and applications.
KLog is able to receive and log messages from syslog-enabled systems using built-in support for *nix syslog protocol or syslog-over-network protocol, but it can also use a number of other protocols supported by various *nix syslog daemons – there are bindings to *nix rsyslog available on that very page on klog.sourceforge.net.
Supported protocols include syslog, syslog-over-network and UDP remote logging, tcpremote logging and remote file logging.
KLog supports both OSS and ALSA sound devices and can optionally produce audible alerts on certain events and can stay in background, taking up a 256 pixels of screen nicely packed as a 16×16 square in your notification tray area.
KLog provides syslog and/or logfile logging and real-time log display in very compact form, namely as a 16×16 square with standard *nix syslog (or gnu-base32) messages displayed in 10px by 10px area and displayed with a priority and timestamp – the program can also produce audible alerts with a specified frequency on selected events like log file changed and new log messages arrived.
Log messages in KLog are displayed as very concise 10px by 10px text messages by default, but you can switch the layout to a more friendly 2×2 grid which will display messages and priority in a nicer form, but will consume around 1000x more area on screen.
KLog will stay on top of all other windows and will keep running in the background, consuming no visible windowing system resources during its work.
KLog can be manually queried using /klog command line utility or any bash / windows / rhel / *nix script.
For example, you can create the script below to query KLog on a 5 minutes interval and display results on the screen:
#!/bin/bash
while true; do echo `/klog -p $1 -d -f $1 -w2`; sleep 5m; done
When you run the script from the command line using
KLOG=klog.ini /path/to/this/script.sh
you will see KLog messages every 5 minutes on your desktop.

=========
KLog is a free, open source Win32 implementation of *nix syslog daemon to support remote logging of message from syslog-enabled unix servers, routers and other networked devices and applications. KLog has been designed in a modular way and is very configurable. KLog is capable of logging the full text of syslog messages, and has the ability to accept remote messages from syslog-based devices. However, users can also build their own custom events and send them to KLog. It currently supports both “flat” and “hierarchical” syslog formats.
KLog supports both local and remote logging mechanisms from various hosts and can optionally and even automatically also generate and play audio alerts on a variety of events. KLog logs are persistant, and can be viewed with a variety of Viewers (including but not limited to; KLogView, WinConsoleView, LogView, LogWin etc).

KLog Crack

KLog is a lightweight, free, open source implementation of the syslog protocol.
KLog is intended to be a great alternative to the syslog utilities shipped with many Linux distributions.
Installation:

With KLog 2.22.2 I’m able to run KLog daemon successfully, but it just displayed a white box in the notification area.

This behavior can be caused by a bug in KLog 2.22.2.
The original problem is already reported to www.kde.org and will be fixed with the release of KDE SC 4.14 in a couple of days. For the current solutions see

Ask HN: is paltalk.com free – AgentConundrum

So I’ve been an avid user of Paltalk for years, and just found out that the service has moved to a completely new platform that isn’t called Paltalk anymore.I started comparing the new site to Paltalk ( and it looks exactly the same. After clicking through all the features they offer (video chat, voice chat, cam chat, etc.) it looks like the new site is free for personal use, and has no restrictions. I realize that sometimes change is good, but this just seems odd. Am I missing something? Anyone know if I’m seeing things correctly?

Paltalk still uses a variant of their old protocol, called PALTEK. The new
site is just a rebranding, but it’s exactly the same on the client-side.

Thanks for the clarification!

PALTEK is the protocol used by the old Paltalk. They haven’t changed the
client and have simply refocused on one of it’s functions: voice/video chat
and calling.

syslogd, a general purpose message logging daemon, is a common Unix Sysadmin tool. It’s used to receive and/or send messages to various destinations, such as a text file, the local syslog server, the local news server, the local name server, etc.
syslogd is typically used to forward log messages to one or more log files. The syslogd daemon normally listens on the localhost interface, however with certain options, it may be configured to listen on a different interface or to permit connections on other hosts.
