NoClose is a curious and lightweight tool that’s sole purpose is to render the close button (X) ineffective. But why would you ever want to disable the close button? Apparently, that would come in handy for when you are trying to teach your children how to use a computer and need to have some windows stuck to your desktop. This way, the little trainees won’t close apps or folders by mistake.
Launch it and use the hotkeys
Unzip the archives and launch the app, an installation process is not required. Once active, the app will move to the system’s tray. From there you can bring the main UI up, which only informs you about the two available hotkeys – CTRL + 1 to disable the close button, and CTRL + 2 to add new rules.
NoClose works with any File Explorer item and with certain applications that don’t use hotkeys. On top of that, the app does not affect browsers. Due to how they are built, browsers will always have an active search bar, even in the settings menus, thus making the NoClose hotkey just a search attempt.
Straightforward configuration
There are not many parts to tweak to such a simplistic tool. Still, if you are uncomfortable with the default hotkeys, you can come up with your own combinations. Right-click the tray icon and look for the settings menu. Inside, you’ll find the hotkeys setup fields and some options for automatically executing rules.
Rules have their separate tab within the same menu. Rules are tasks one can impose to automatically trigger specific processes. Adding rules requires a bit of know-how, unfortunately. If you are somewhat skillful, you can check the sample rule and follow that same example.
Overall
NoClose is a fairly interesting application, even though its abilities can be applied in a couple of situations. Still, individuals who look to create a learning environment for their kids and wish to impose this limitation are free to take advantage of it. Otherwise, NoClose would limit itself to pranking material or something similar.

Well, it’s a tiny tool, that does what it does very well. It’s a very nice way to teach children the ‘close’, ‘open’ and ‘trash’ commands, and many more stuff. Who wants to install some software and it just doesn’t work? You should just try this little tool, with a little mind of the developers.

Once you close one of the windows on your taskbar, NoClose will provide you the ‘close’ command on the keyboard. As the same time, the taskbar will be changed into an arrow, just like when you close a window on your desktop.

Don’t you find it strange? I’m not trying to manipulate people by encouraging them to close their browsers if they don’t want to. Just put a vote in the right place to discourage people from using that process.

LOL, however, I would have no problem voting on a political issue. Heck, I’d be voting for someone who cared about my country. I won’t lie, I’d have a problem voting for a politician who I thought wasn’t supportive of my country. If I had to choose between two candidates, one of whom was supporting the other country that I love, I’d probably pick that one too.
