Elden Ring is a new fantasy action RPG developed by Vision Producer and Game Designer, Tokitada (TABEO, Warcraft, Monster Hunter); and production staff from Mizuiro Academy and MAGES. TABEO directed the game’s production from concept to production.
TABEO has done several projects before this, including Warcraft, Monster Hunter, and Nobunaga’s Ambition.
The game is powered by the Elder Scrolls® Engine, and the classical action-RPG combat system from the Elder Scrolls® series is used. The game’s story has been developed from the ground up. The main point of development was to create a story which is built around a unique RPG genre, that of fantasy action, and an original story told in fragments, which is able to convey a sprawling world in an entire new light, from start to finish.
The development team aims for a profound sense of involvement, and wants to deliver an exciting fantasy action RPG that can please players like a new original title.
■Story
The Lands Between are a vast open world full of excitement. A standard closed-off environment where a single player goes around, fighting monsters, solving quests and more. In this game, the Lands Between is opened up, and connected to the Internet. In the online mode, three players can journey together on an adventure.
You are an orphan who was abandoned in the Lands Between. In this world, your existence has no meaning. Nobody is there to guide you. You are alone, and not even the kind words of a woman can help you. However, before you give up hope, you receive a gift; a gift which will revive your heart, and bring you back to life.
This power is the Elden Ring.
This gift is not a normal sword or a magic wand. This power is something only created by those who have experienced the agony of despair, and only those who are ready to fight with it can wield it. You are the only man who has been given the chance to receive this gift. Are you going to receive this gift and face the greatest adventure of your life?
■The Online Mode
As players journey together in the online mode, they receive guidance from another character for a while, allowing them to become good friends with each other.

The first thing you should know is that the game follows a JRPG style very closely, so if you’re familiar with those games you should know what you’re getting into already. However, I had to take a break from other games to write this review; due to the story and gameplay being so different, and the gameplay itself being completely different from other JRPGs. It’s quite the unique experience to say the least.
Story.
This isn’t the typical JRPG. It’s not what you expect at all. This is quite similar to the 2002 game Final Fantasy XII, in that it’s not your typical fantasy story. It is a epic drama told in fragments, and it follows the thoughts of a noble person, who has the same name as the main character of Final Fantasy XII, and Argo, another title in the Final Fantasy series, all the way back to his original mortal form.
The story starts when the hero Argo was born with a special and mysterious destiny, and he was separated from his parents after birth. He was adopted by the people of the small town of Hollow. His adoptive parents and fellow citizens raised him like they raised other children, and he grew up as an orphan.
The magical world of Elden called the Lands Between, a mysterious place made of the remains of the kingdom of Elden, the first country where monsters were banished, abuts the Human World. The Human world is a country full of technology, culture, and values. The Lands Between is a mysterious other world of magic and spirits, ruled by the mysterious black dragon Elden. During the war between the human kingdom and the Lands Between, the king of human kingdom captured the king of the Lands Between, and imprisoned him inside a wall at the border between the two lands.
Argo eventually defies his adoptive parents to travel to the southern Elden kingdom through the wall, to explore the wall and discover the truth of the hidden world. He defeats and releases the black dragon, who releases the

Major-General Percy Thomas Gleason CB, DSO, LL.D (15 August 1894 – 4 August 1965), known in Scotland as Sir Peregrine Geoffrey Byng Thomas Gleason, was a senior British Army officer.
Biography
Gleason was born in 1894. He was educated at Cheltenham College.
He was commissioned in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in 1915.
He served with 15th Division, by 1917 he was already a major and in October of that year he was transferred to the 39th Brigade of the 43rd Division. He saw active service on the Western Front, and was mentioned in dispatches. In 1918, he was Mentioned in Despatches and awarded the Distinguished Service Order.
Between 1919 and 1922 he was the Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General. In 1920 he was an instructor at the Staff College, Camberley. He served as Commander of Western Command in 1929, British Army of the Rhine in Germany in 1932 and as Commander of Security Forces in Austria in 1936.
He retired in 1944 with the honorary rank of Major-General, after spending many years at the War Office, where he was deputy director of military operations.
Between 1941 and 1948 he was elected at the annual meeting of the Scottish Officers’ Association as one of its vice-presidents and in 1948 he was elected president. In this latter capacity, in 1952 he was appointed as the first president of the re-formed Scottish Officers’ Association.

Wikipedia explains what is meant by Enigma in the following two paragraphs.
The German Enigma machine was an electromechanical cipher machine used by Germany during World War II, especially during the Battle of the Atlantic in the Second World War. Enigma ran on four rotors, which could be preset for simple algorithms of between 2 and 64 characters, and were not destroyed (although the military probably did not know that). But the Enigma remained a mystery until 2010, when a team of scholars led by historian Christopher Andrew broke the German military’s encryption machines. By using computer science techniques, the team was able to reconstruct the Enigma and decode many of its encrypted messages.

Germany used an electro-mechanical encryption machine called the Enigma in the Second World War. This is the most famous encryption machine of the war and the most famous cipher of all time. The Enigma’s peculiarity was that it used rotors: blocks of semaphore-like gearwheels that could be rotated to encode messages. Each gearwheel had a number of slots in it, and at the back of the machine there were five rotors, each with 26 steel discs. Each one was set to a different code. On the front of the machine the operators selected the codes they wanted the machine to use. The Enigma’s weakness was that, although every setting was different, all settings were not used at the same time. It was possible to determine that each character in a message was encrypted using at least three settings. By the end of the war the British had built a machine to break Enigma, but the Germans had moved on to a different cipher, Lorenz.
