Paths to Adventure is a monthly subscription-based online tabletop roleplaying game (RPG) system. It can be played using any number of server-based virtual tabletop software programs. Q: I purchased the Paths to Adventure: Castles and Strongholds Game Pack when it first came out, and it said it was ready to download, but it’s not showing up. What should I do? A: Your download may not have completed as the.GFL or the.FGL files, as well as their contents, have not yet been released. The files will be released when the collection is actually complete, and not before. In the meantime, you may access the Paths to Adventure: Castles and Strongholds collection through the games section of Fantasy Grounds. Q: I’m not sure I want to download the entire collection, but it looks like a great pack, so I’m going to. Will the collection be available for download in one zip file? A: The collection will be released as 8 individual.zip files. When the first one is released, it will include all maps that are available. All future releases will include all previous releases until the entire collection is released. Q: Do the maps included in this collection work with the PC version of Fantasy Grounds or the mobile version? A: The maps included with the Paths to Adventure: Castles and Strongholds Map Pack are compatible with the PC and Mobile versions of Fantasy Grounds. Q: Can I use these maps with Roll20? A: This collection of maps was designed with use in Roll20 in mind. In order for a map to work in Roll20, the map layer must be turned on. Unfortunately, this setting can’t be accessed in the mobile version of Fantasy Grounds. Q: Which Fantasy Grounds Edition do I need in order to use these maps? A: As this is a map pack, Paths to Adventure does not require the latest edition. You can use any edition that you wish, but you must have a license for it. You should be able to download the collection for free by using the latest version of Fantasy Grounds without purchasing the license. If you don’t have a license, contact Paths to Adventure and request one. Once the collection is complete, a license key will be emailed to you.
