About The Tournament

Join the final battle! It’s time to tear down the walls between human and Lycan. The Lycans are recruiting and they will stop at nothing to destroy you.

A self-assured warrior, Major William Ash Williams is in no mood for compromise. But the Lycan terror is on a rampage, and no amount of firepower, training, or experience can stop them. Defeat them and you will earn the right to call yourself a full-blooded, human-to-Lycan convert, the only one brave enough to accept the challenge.

Players guide Williams, a special forces warrior who has been absent from the battlefield for a long time, through a number of rooms and hallways filled with Lycan hostiles, each one more deadly and complicated than the last. Each of them is tasked with a different objective, such as infecting a room or securing a bridgehead. They must avoid the traps and pitfalls on their path as they attempt to fulfill their duties and earn a victory. In order to achieve these goals, players must learn to use a variety of weapons, from machine guns, to rocket launchers, and more. Skill is important, as is speed. Dead ends, traps, and obstacles can be lethal.

The atmosphere of the game is dark and dreary in the beginning, but as players proceed through the levels of the game, new and dangerous environments are introduced, leading to a chilling and heavy conclusion.

Description

Inventioneers is a sprawling, futuristic tower-defense game set on the moon and inspired by games like Robotron. Players begin with a humble yet deadly invention, the turret, and set about developing new, more powerful, and more exotic turrets to battle the Radionian forces that now threaten the surface of the moon. As the action hots up, players will need to construct a mighty base, mining machinery to pull from deep within the moon, and spaceplanes to blast across the sky.

“Gameplay” is the all-too-common text that lies hidden behind the gameplay. How do you know if the “Gameplay” is any good?
Oh, here’s an even better question: How do you know if the “Gameplay” is any good? In fact, that is the central question at the heart of this game.
How do you know if you are playing a good game or a bad game? How do you know if you are playing a game that is good for your mental faculties or a game that is a detriment?
This is a question that is not being asked very often in the gaming industry. Is it bad game design to make players think through the games you are creating? Have you ever thought about why so few games are published with such questions at their heart?
All that said, I still have to applaud the developers for trying something so unique and unique ideas certainly bring many different points of view to the table. So the question still remains:
Why don’t they do more innovative games like this?
