R. A. Partridge (born 1961) is a film and television director and producer. He is best known for directing the 2000 film Sliding Doors and the 2005 film Chicken Run. He has also directed the 2002 film Firewall.

Career
Partridge was born in Southern California, and was educated at UC Berkeley. Before making his feature debut with Sliding Doors, he had already made a couple of short films.

In the years after the film’s success, he focused on directing television. He directed the movies Chicken Run (2005), Firewall (2002), Saving Grace (2002) and P.U.N.K.S. (2000). He has also directed episodes of the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NYPD Blue and The Vampire Diaries, and he has directed the films Precious Cargo (2009), Last Chance (2009), and Horrific Stories (2009).

Partridge won an Emmy Award for directing the 2002 television film Saving Grace. He has also received three Golden Globe Award nominations for his work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for directing the two-part episode “Once More With Feeling”.

Partridge has also done a number of voice work, as well as providing his own voice for the video game The Incredible Hulk, Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and Fantastic Four.

Partridge’s latest directorial work is a short film titled “You Don’t Talk To Strangers”, which was released in May 2015.
