1. Why did you want to create an action RPG in this genre?
We love action-RPGs that focus on large-scale battles with lots of characters. However, in the past, we looked for such games only during summer vacation. The basic elements of an action RPG came out when we were working on action games like “Fire Emblem.” But we didn’t consider ourselves an RPG company back then, so those games weren’t very fun and didn’t attract many players. When we decided to enter the core game business in August of this year, we were determined to address this problem and provide a new type of action game. After deciding that the focus should be on large-scale battles, we also made the decision to create a fantasy-themed action RPG.
2. What is your new fantasy action RPG’s main genre?
We would say that this is a fantasy-themed action RPG of the type we’ve never made before. In particular, the world is more interesting than your typical fantasy-themed game. We are making an action game that is a spectacle of deep and intense battles.
3. Why did you decide on the direction of a fantasy-themed action RPG?
We feel that action-RPGs aren’t rare in the genre. There are quite a few games in the genre, and the favorite of many players is the legendary “Final Fantasy Tactics.” We like many of the concepts in this genre, so we decided to develop this game for players who like a serious battle with lots of characters in the background. The background and the theme of the game are one of the most important parts, and we want to tell a story while providing high quality of play.
4. What is the game’s main theme?
The theme of the game is a story set in the Lands Between, a region between the living world and the Elen world. It takes place in the deepest,

The game is more difficult than Mario & Luigi Dream Team. Mario & Luigi Dream Team is a simple matching game, while ELDEN RING is action RPG.
